The Aurora Museum & Archives is taking part in the 2025 CONTACT Photography Festival with a curation of images called Aurora Through the Archives: [un]Framed in Focus. The exhibition was selected as part of the Core Program which brings together exhibitions and public programs presented in partnership with museums, galleries, and artist-run centres throughout the GTA and beyond.

Aurora Town Council approved a report detailing the project scope and budget for the 100th Anniversary of the Aurora War Memorial to be marked in October 2025. Description: Central York Fire Services (CYFS) responded to a reported structure fire. The structure was confirmed to be a storage shed. Command adopted a defensive strategy. Hose lines were deployed, and water relay was established due to the long access road to the property. The storage shed was vacant at the time of the fire operations.
Cause of incident: Undetermined.
