Waste depots closed for holiday

Please note, all York Region waste depots will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2020 for the Thanksgiving holiday. 

Standard hours of operation resumes on October 13, 2020 for the Georgina Transfer Station and on October 14, 2020 for all other depots as those are generally closed on Tuesdays.

Application process extended for sponsorship of community program and events

The Town of Aurora has a limited budget for sponsoring community events and/or programs. The Town will accept requests from community groups that meet the requirements specified in the below policy and serve to support the Town's Strategic Plan.

Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the formal application process has been extended to Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

During the regular application process, applications must be received by the second Monday in October of each year for consideration...

AURORA, ON – Starting in October, the Town of Aurora will be educating residents on the residential waste limits. Aurora residents can place up to three-bags or containers for pickup every other week on regularly scheduled collection days.
