Snow removal in Aurora will take longer to complete following consecutive winter storms.

The Town of Aurora has received over 30 cm of snow, and our crews have been working day and night to clear roads and sidewalks. However, heavy accumulation, continuous blowing snow, and other challenges are making progress difficult.

Due to the current weather conditions and the impact of the storm on Town Park, we have made some modifications to the Arctic Adventure event.

All Town facilities are open, but some Town programs and services might be impacted due to the snow and slow commute. Aurora Cultural Centre has cancelled all programs today. Significant Weather Event – Feb 12, 2025

The Corporation of the Town of Aurora declares a significant weather event due to Snowfall Warning issued by Environment Canada. Heavy snow and ice pellets are expected with accumulation amounts up to 25 cm.

This will impact roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and laneways commencing at 3 p.m. on February 12, 2025, pursuant to O.Reg 239/02.
