The Town of Aurora invites local artists to submit an application to participate in the Aurora’s Downtown Street Wall Mural Program. The program will allow experienced local artists the opportunity to beautify Aurora while reducing graffiti and providing a real connection and revived energy to our downtown core.

Recreation focused workshops for tots, children and youth


The Town of Aurora is introducing a new Play in the Park series which will offer a variety of recreation focused workshops for tots, children and youth. Each outdoor workshop is 45 minutes and provides an opportunity for participants to spend time playing outdoors and engaging in group interaction through a variety of recreation focused games and activities that encourage play, while maintaining physical distancing.

Temporary cooling station open today

In response to the heat alert advisory, the Town of Aurora is reopening a temporary cooling centre inside the Aurora Community Centre located at 1 Community Centre Lane today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents who wish to use the cooling centre must adhere to the provincial health guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic and maintain a physical distance of six-feet, wear a face mask and adhere to proper hand hygiene.
